Sculptor Elizabeth Catlett Passed Away at 96

The well known African-American women sculpture passed away last Monday, April 2, 2012 in Mexico at the age of 96. Elizabeth Catlett is one of the world's famous and iconic artist as well a dignified personality who able to change the our perceptions in some important part of life. She was born in Washington, D.C. and finished her bachelor degree in Howard University way back in 1930's. She is a humble person and noted by Maya Angelou as a "Queen of the Arts" in her pasts writings.


Elizabeth deserves to be dignified by those people who knows too much about her. She is an inspiration to black women and her work of art can remind us of some important lesson coming from her heart. Furthermore, her contribution will remain in the hearts and minds of her fellow artist who are willing to share their talents to open our minds and curiosity in life.
